The Work included in this Project consists of construction for the rehabilitation of the Well 7 site. The Well’s rehabilitation includes the installation of an emergency generator, electrical equipment upgrades, piping modifications and the undergrounding of the existing overhead electrical power service to the site, communications pole and conduits, and the construction of an 8-ft high CMU security wall and wrought iron gate along the frontage of the well site along El Mirage Rd. In addition to the well 7 rehabilitations, the project includes the replacement of existing 12” ductile iron pipe (DIP) along El Mirage Rd just south of Indian School Rd intersection with an approximately333 linear feet (LF) of a new 16-inch DIP water transmission main with appurtenances and approximately 377 LF of parallel double 2.5-inch conduits for future fiber optic (FO) communication. As an alternative bid, the work includes the installation of approximately 1,357 LF of a new 12-inch DIP with appurtenances and approximately 1,385 LF of parallel double 2.5-inch conduits for future FO communication along Indian School Rd, west of the El Mirage Rd intersection located within the City of Avondale. . The City is issuing this IFB to secure a qualified A General Engineering or KA Dual Engineering Licensed Contractor to perform the Work and provide Materials as more particularly described in the Specifications attached to this IFB, and incorporated herein by reference. Bidders must submit Bids encompassing the entire Project, inclusive of the related Plans, Specifications, related construction drawings and Reference Documents.
