Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY The Scope of Work for the base bid for this project consists of the following: The expansion of a portion of the existing roadway of Prospect Street, as shown on the project plans. The installation of roadway striping markings and painting. The installation of a variable height concrete retaining wall along West County Line Road. The installation of minimum four-foot (4') wide and four-inches (4") thick pervious concrete sidewalk along West County Line Road and Prospect Street. The installation of six-inch (6") thick pervious concrete driveway aprons along West County Line Road and Prospect Street. The installation of detectable warning surfaces at curb ramps. The installation of concrete nine-inches by eighteen-inches (9" x 18") concrete curb. The removal and relocation of exiting fences including six-foot (6') high stockade fence, four-foot (4') high chain link fence, and wrought iron fence. West County Line Road and Prospect Street Sidewalk Improvements. The above Scope of Work outlines the general items and shall not be construed as being all inclusive. The plans entitled "Contract Drawings for the Township of Lakewood, W. County Line Road & Prospect Street Sidewalk Improvements, Ocean County, New Jersey " are appended hereto and are now made a part of these specifications. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Duly Executed by the Bidder as Principal and Having as Surety Thereon a Surety Company Approved by the Township of Lakewood in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) but in No Case in Excess of $20,000.00 of the Amount Bid. Any Such Bid Bond Shall Be Without Endorsement or Conditions. Bid Shall Also Be Accompanied by a Certificate Letter From a Surety Company Stating That It Will Provide the Bidder With the Completion Bond. The Award of the Contract Shall Be Made Subject to the Necessary Moneys to Do the Work Being Provided by the Township of Lakewood in a Lawful Manner. The Contract to Be Executed by the Successful Bidder Will Provide That It Shall Not Become Effective Until the Necessary Moneys to Do the Work Have Been Provided by the Township of Lakewood in a Lawful Manner. The Award Shall Further Be Subjected to the Securing of Necessary State, Federal or Local Permits Governing the Work. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Q/A- No interpretations of the meaning of the drawings, specifications or other contract documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer, and to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the final date fixed for receiving bids. Any and all such interpretations and/or supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications, which if issued, will be issued in accordance with applicable State Laws.
