Reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality in the RFQ process, or to terminate the RFQ process at any time, if deemed by the Agency to be in its best interests. Contract Period. Auburn Housing Authority anticipates that it will initially award a contract for the period of 1 year with the option, at Auburn Housing Authority's discretion, of 4 additional one-year option periods, for a total maximum contract period of 5 years. 2. Scope of Services A. Preliminary Investigation & Planning 1. Conduct site assessments and review existing water and sewer system conditions. 2. Obtain and review as-built drawings, utility maps, and other relevant documents. 3. Coordinate with local authorities and utility companies to identify potential conflicts and permitting requirements. 4. Perform hydraulic modeling and flow analysis as needed. 5. Provide preliminary design recommendations and cost estimates. B. Design & Engineering 1. Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans. 2. Design water and sewer line replacements, including pipe sizing, materials, alignment, and connection points. 3. Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and health standards. 4. Identify necessary permits and assist in obtaining approvals. 5. Prepare a project schedule and phasing plan to minimize service disruptions. C. Bidding & Contractor Selection 1. Develop bid documents, including plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates. 2. Participate in bid evaluations and contractor selection. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
