1. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The Advanced Technology Academy is seeking proposals for Gym Floor Refinishing Services at its Fieldhouse (4801 Oakman Blvd, Dearborn, MI 48126). This project aims to restore and enhance the current pulastic gym floor to improve its aesthetic appeal, safety, and usability for school events and sports activities. Information regarding how long the new finish is expected to last should be included. Proposer shall furnish all supplies, materials, delivery, installation, warranties, and any other services needed to complete work. 2. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: o Approximate Square Footage: 7,500 sq ft (75' x 100') o Preparation: If necessary, remove bleachers, all thresholds, and baseboard o Relining the Gym Floor: Repaint lines for basketball, volleyball, pickle ball etc. in compliance with current regulations and specifications. Additional lines may be discussed during your site visit. o Refinishing the Floor: The existing gym floor is a pulastic surface. This proposal should provide an overpour solution (with applicable surface repairs) to restore its appearance and functionality, ensuring a smooth, durable finish suitable for athletic use. o Floor Preparation: Preparation of the existing floor surface, including cleaning, sanding, and repairs of any damaged or worn areas before refinishing. o Safety Considerations: Ensure that all materials used are non-toxic and meet any applicable safety standards. o Permits: Acquiring any necessary permits at the local, state, or federal level for the project. o Finishing: If necessary, install new thresholds, new baseboards, and reinstall bleachers o Timeline: The work must be completed within [insert timeframe, e.g., 2 weeks] from the project start date.
