The City of Santa Rosa will be renovating the lobby of the Laguna Treatment Plant (LTP) Administration Building to create a visually distinctive space for visitors and staff to learn about the role LTP plays in the local and regional water landscape. The area, from the front door to the conference room and lunchroom, bounded by the lab area and administrative offices, is approximately 2,000 square feet of concrete covered with tile. Optionally, the bathroom floors will also be included (approximately 150 square feet). Question Deadline 05/21/2025 at 2:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes The intent of this Request for Quotation is to contract for concrete flooring at Laguna Treatment Plant Administration Building Lobby with the specifications, terms, conditions identified within the RFQ. Bid Bond 10.00% The City of Santa Rosa will be renovating the lobby of the Laguna Treatment Plant (LTP) Administration Building to create a visually distinctive space for visitors and staff to learn about the role LTP plays in the local and regional water landscape. The area, from the front door to the conference room and lunchroom, bounded by the lab area and administrative offices, is approximately 2,000 square feet of concrete covered with tile. Optionally, the bathroom floors will also be included (approximately 150 square feet). The existing tile should be removed and properly disposed of. The underlying concrete floor should be stained and sealed. o Contractor shall begin work within 21 calendar days of receiving a fully executed contract from the City. o Contractor shall provide a minimum of 5 days notice prior to starting work. o Contractor shall complete work within 10 working days unless other arrangements are made in advance. o Contractor shall provide floor-to-ceiling plastic taped off from inhabited work areas to prevent dust from entering those areas and, if appropriate, cover HVAC vents. o Covering blocking the admin area can stay up for the duration of the project, staff can utilize other entrances. o The walls will be redone at a late date so they do not need to be covered, but if there is concern that damage could be caused to the glass, then that should be covered. o The final color should be a natural concrete appearance. Contractor shall provide a minimum of 3 color samples for the City to choose from. The final color is to be agreed upon by the City and Contractor o Contractor shall utilize low VOC products to maintain indoor air quality. o Contractor to remove and properly dispose of tile. o Contractor to remove any remaining adhesive, impurities, dirt, or debris and prepare the floor for installation. o Contractor to sand the concrete to ensure the surface is smooth but not slippery and the pores are open to accept the colored stain. o Laguna Treatment Plant is an industrial facility that is also open to the public, a slippery floor is not acceptable. o After sanding, contractor will perform a final scrub to remove any remaining unwanted residue. o If the concrete has stains from the tile grout and it cannot be removed, the Contractor shall install an overlay to provide a clean, smooth finish. o Contractor will apply a sealant to maintain quality and color. o Contractor shall provide ADA-compliant transition strips between the existing floor and newly finished concrete floors. o Contractor will remove all construction debris and leave a clean, ready-to-use surface. o Contractor will install a 6-inch vinyl white wall base. o Contractor is responsible for field verification of square footage and dimensions. o Preparation work can occur during business hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), so as long as it is not loud or disruptive to City staff. All other work must be completed after business hours (5 p.m. - 12 a.m.) or on weekends. o Asbestos testing was performed on 03/11/25 and no asbestos was found o Contractor shall hold a California State Contractors C-8 license and be registered with the DIR Bathrooms - Optional - The City may choose not to award this section o The City will remove and reinstall bathroom stalls o Contractor will remove tile up to the base of the toilets. Toilets are not to be removed o Contractor to remove wall tile, which goes about approximately 4-6 inches. o Contractor is not responsible for repair to walls. o Contractor will install a 6-inch vinyl white wall base. o Restrooms may be closed during the project.
