This project involves the installation of Solar panels for the City of Princeton's Wastewater treatment plant located at the Northeast corner of 285th Ave and Great River Rd, near the railroad tracks across from the wastewater treatment plant lagoons. This work shall include, and is not limited to, the clearing and grubbing of the designated area, the installation of all required electrical work for proper performance, railroad permitting and right of way work, installation of steel frames, panels, and inverter; seeding and miscellaneous work associated with the project including cleanup. A bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the City or certified check in the form of a certified cashier's check or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America shall be payable to the City Clerk of the City of Princeton, Iowa in the amount of five percent (5%) of the contract amount . This shall accompany each bid as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work that is bid upon. Bids shall be valid for 60 days. It is the intent of the City to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the bidding. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or defects in the bidding, or to accept the bid that, in the judgement of the City, will be in its best interest.
