The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites tenders for construction services from experienced and qualified general contractors having expertise in MMCD contracts and the delivery of municipal streets & road works along with upgrade of allied infrastructure including traffic signals etc. The City requires construction works and upgrade of Beatty Street AAA Bike Facility, complete rebuild of Robson & Beatty intersection with a raised intersection design, and signal upgrades at Georgia & Beatty located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The General Scope of Work included, but is not limited to: Construction of raised protected unidirectional bike lanes on the northwest and southeast sides of Beatty Street, between Smithe Street and Georgia Street; Adjustments of driveways, curbs, catch basins, valves, etc. to accommodate the raised bike lanes; The full intersection rebuild of the Beatty Street & Robson Street Intersection; including tie-ins to adjacent infrastructure, street lighting, and traffic signal modifications to accommodate high-volume pedestrian traffic. The intersection will be raised to accommodate the future Robson Fan Zone works; At Beatty Street & Georgia Street Intersection, an addition of right turn signal for northbound vehicles on Beatty Street to mitigate conflicts between cyclists and vehicles; Working as Prime Contractor for the project performing all required subtrades including general contract trades, allied structural/civil/mechanical works, and any other works as required to complete work as noted in IFT drawings and spec.; Applying for the necessary work permits; Perform all works as specified in the specifications and drawings provided in this Tender package (as Attachments); Provide required bonds, insurances, sureties and warranty in accordance and in compliance with this Instruction to Tenderers (ITT) package and attached Form of Agreement (FOA); General contracting works including supply of all labour, equipment, tools, materials and services necessary for the project in its entirety, including, without limitations, general contracting works, contract coordination, demolition, excavation and disposal work, hazardous materials abatement, traffic management, environment and safety management, coordination with third party utilities, demobilization.
