The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the purchase of the design, furnish and installation of all materials, equipment, and labor required to deliver Work in accordance with Part 2 Attachment F Bridging Documents and all applicable codes by the County. The Owner seeks to retain the services of a Design-Build (D-B) Firm for the Project. The purpose of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from Offerors for use in selecting a D-B Firm for the Work from those Offerors on the "short list" prepared as a result of the responses to the Request for Qualifications previously issued for the Project. The Owner has determined in pursuant to 2025-RFP-3071820 -PART 1 that only the following Offerors are pre-qualified to submit Proposals in response to this RFP: JAMERSON-LEWIS CONSTRUCTION 1306 STEPHENSON AVENUE LYNCHBURG, VA 24501. The project generally consists of a gravel entry road, Maintenance Building and Yard. This gravel entrance road will be the start of the design/build project. The 20-foot-wide gravel access road will be approximately 100 yards long leading north to the Maintenance Building fenced yard and facility. The proposed Maintenance Building will serve two (2) County work teams with each having their own personnel entrance, Work Bay with overhead door, Office, Break Room, and Toilet. The Teams will share a Mechanical Room and a Covered Outdoor Area, and Break Rooms connected by an interior door. The Maintenance Building will be approximately 3,000 square feet of covered space. The 8-foot-high fenced yard around the Maintenance Building will be gravel, with sixteen parking spaces along one side and an entrance gate. The Maintenance Building Yard will be roughly 27,000 square feet in area with a 50' drive isle around the building. The utilities for this project will comprise an onsite well and an on-site septic system for providing water and sewer services for the Maintenance Building.
