Bid specifications are as follows: Bidder will provide grounds and lawn care services for both Highland and Pioneer Cemeteries. Mowing period will be April 14, 2025 - November 2, 2025 & April 13, 2026 - November 1, 2026 bid will cover caretaker responsibilities for both the 2025 & 2026 seasons. This term may be shortened or extended at the Town Council's discretion. The (Registered Contractor) shall maintain the grounds of the cemeteries, around the tombstones and perimeters of the cemeteries by mowing, grooming shrubs around flagpole areas (at Pioneer Cemetery), and weedeating a minimum of ten (10) times during the above mentioned mowing period as conditions dictate. Mowing bid price also includes removing grass clippings, brush, limbs, leaves, dead vegetation, and other organic and non-organic refuse that may appear in the cemeteries from time to time. Bid to include a price for any additional mowings, and any additional approved mowings will be at the agreed bid price. Any additional work deemed necessary by the North Judson Town Council will be negotiated prior to the additional work being performed. The total bid price is to also include providing leaf cleanup and removal in the Spring and Fall. Both cemeteries must be mowed and groomed the week before Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day (depending on the weather) in preparation for the holiday observation. Bidder must obtain a contractor's permit with the Town of North Judson. Bidder must be insured with liability insurance coverage of a minimum of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence with the Town of North Judson listed as Certificate Holder as well as workmen's compensation insurance if the contractor has employees performing the services. Bidder must provide all labor, equipment, and fuel. Bidder must have the ability to haul away lawn clippings for proper disposal. Included in the first mowing of the year, during the week of April 21, 2025, bidder will be responsible for the cleanup and removal of all old on weather worn grave decorations appearing to have been placed on graves prior to the previous 90 days. The following must be included in your bid packet: Bid price, proof of insurance, proof of registered contractor's permit with the Town of North Judson, and recommendations from current clients. The North Judson Town Council reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
