Site work and renovation of a civil project in Burton, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of constructing new water well, pump & motor, water lines and electrical controls. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Burton or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The OWNER'S Water System, including existing Water Well 4, is the sole water source of Burton ISD. Burton ISD will be out of session from late May 2025 until July 31, 2025. OWNER would like to have all New Water Well 5 construction activities that require lengthy shutdowns of existing Water Well 4 to be complete by July 31, 2025. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the City of Burton Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts. The City of Burton reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Burton for a period not to exceed seventy (70) consecutive calendar days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
