Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The Fire District intends to construct new two-story fire station and associated site work. Each sealed enclosure containing a bid is to be endorsed on the outside with the name, address and telephone number of the bidder and is to state that it contains a bid for the Project Name including the specific contract being bid. Bid security in the form of a 5% bid bond issued by an acceptable surety or bank or certified check payable to the Owner's Name is required. The Mckownville Fire District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, re-advertise for new bids, and waive minor irregularities in bidding and to accept the bid that is best suited for the Owner. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications, bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to "The McKownville Fire District" The Owner is not responsible for bids opened prior to the bid opening if bid name and opening date do not appear on the envelope. Bids opened prior to date and time indicated are invalid. The bidder assumes the risk of any delay in the mail, or in the handling of the mail by employees of the Fire District as well as of improper hand delivery
