Lee Hall Reservoir Floating Docks Replacement :- The existing floating docks have exceeded their effective life span and are in need of replacement. The new piers will extend further out into the reservoir so that boats can launch in deeper water with less chance of grounding. The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish a contract with a qualified Contractor to provide all Work and Materials for the replacement of the Lee Hall Reservoir floating docks with a new floating dock system that incorporates an accessible kayak launch. Question Deadline 03/27/2025 at 1:00 PM ET Questions regarding this Invitation for Bid (IFB) must be submitted in writing through the OpenGov Procurement Question/Answer Tab via the City's e-Procurement portal Demolition of Floating and Fixed Docks, Demolition of Existing Piles, New Floating Docks, New Piles - Floating Docks and Approaches, 2 Aluminum Gangways, New Piles - Fixed Pier, Treated Wood 2x6 Decking Credit Approaches. Payment for unit price line items shall constitute full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing any associated Contractor quality control, coordination with Owner for special inspections, environmental protection, meeting safety requirements, tests, and reports, and for performing all work required for which separate payment is not otherwise provided. 2. Bid Item No. 2, Demolition of Floating and Fixed Docks: This item shall include all work and fees relating to the complete demolition of the existing floating docks at the Campsite Area and the Fishing Pier Area. Price shall be inclusive of all handling, transporting, and other costs associated with the removal and proper disposal of the material. The quantity for bid purposes is 5100 square feet. 3510 square feet for the Fishing Pier Area and 1490 square feet at the Campsite Area. Payment for demolition shall be made per square foot of dock removed. 3. Bid Item No. 3, Demolition of Existing Piles: This item shall include all work relating to the extraction and/or cut-off of existing piling. All of the existing floating dock guide piles the Campsite Area and the Fishing Pier Area as well as fixed dock piles indicated for the Fishing Pier Area. The quantity for bid purposes is 600 linear feet, 400 linear feet at the Fishing Pier and 200 linear feet Campsite. Removal of unforeseen piling will be paid on a per pile basis assuming 25-foot long piles. Payment shall be made per foot of pile removed. 4. Bid Item No. 4, New Floating Docks: This item shall include all work relating to the prefabricated floating docks and kayak launches including all framing, composite decking, floatation, pile guides, cleats, bumpers, hardware and associated hardware. The quantity for bid purposes is 6000 square feet, 3500 square feet for the Fishing Pier Area and 2500 square feet at the Campsite Area. Measurement and payment shall be made per square foot of dock installed. 5. Bid Item No. 5, New Piles - Floating Docks and Approaches: This item shall include all work relating to timber piling.( 42 piles). The quantity for bid purposes is 1050 linear feet, 625 linear feet for the Fishing Pier Area and 425 linear feet at the Campsite Area. Payment shall be made for each linear foot installed. 7. Bid Item No. 7, Additive Bid Item 1 New Piles - Fixed Pier: This item shall include all work relating to timber piling. (18 piles). The quantity for bid purposes is 450 linear feet at the Campsite Area. Payment shall be made for each linear foot installed. 8. Bid Item No. 8, Additive Bid Item 1 - New Fixed Wooden Pier: This item shall include all work relating to timber beams, joists and treated wood decking for the 6-foot x 80-foot fixed pier construction and 10-foot x 6-foot accessway at the parking lot. Payment shall be made for each square foot of pier installed.
