Work to include installation of pull stations and non-addressable heat detectors. Area where it is habitual will have horn/strobes and restrooms will have visual only units be installed. 2. Exit signs will be installed at all means of egress. 3.Emergency battery units will be installed at all means of egress, as well as, at all the exterior doors. Installation of new addressable fire alarm panel and life safety upgrades. SCOPE A. Work described herein shall be interpreted as work to be done by the Electrical Subcontractor. Work to be performed by other trades will be referenced to a particular contractor or subcontractor. B. Provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment, including scaffolding, to complete the installation of the electrical system. Install, equip, adjust, and put into operation the respective portions of the installation specified, and so interconnect various items or sections of work in order to form a complete and operating whole. The work shall consist of, but shall not necessarily be limited to, the following: 1. Fire alarm system (low voltage) 2. Circuit breaker locks for all circuit breakers relating to fire alarm branch circuits. Per NFPA-72, section 10.6.5.4. 3. Radio box installation, programming, and testing 4. Emergency power system, including battery operated emergency lighting, and battery-operated exit signs 5. Surge Protection Devices (SPD’s) as shown on the drawings. 6. Lighting systems exterior and interior, including fixtures, lamps, time clocks, and lighting controls. 7. All raceway systems, including boxes, couplings, and fittings. 8. All branch circuit wiring systems, including wiring devices, plates. 9. Connections for all building equipment, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and the like. 10. Drilling, coring, and cutting of holes and openings 11. Scaffolding, rigging, and staging required for all electrical work. 12. Fire stopping shall be performed by the electrical contractor. 13. Phasing and demolition. 14. Cutting and patching. 15. Tenant allowances and unit pricing. 16. Signage per National Electrical Code and International Building Code 17. Posting of identification for each nominal voltage system. Per the National Electrical Code (NEC), article 210.5C(1)b. 18. Any other item of work hereinafter specified or indicated on electrical drawings.
