The Work consists of, but is not limited to: selective sitework, bituminous asphalt and concrete paving, concrete, standard framing, roofing, doors and frames, kitchen mechanical connections, miscellaneous carpentry, interior finishes, exterior finishes, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing. The design and construction of the Community Center Building should include, at a minimum, the proposed facilities shown on the feasibility and design conceptual floorplans and renderings developed by the Lunz Group Architects. It is understood the design build team will submit a proposed design which at a minimum will contain the following facilities: o A covered main entrance o A multipurpose room with direct access to the outside, o A library with a computer lab. The library will have direct access to the outside, o A library office, o A kitchen, o Separate men's and women's rest rooms o Separate unisex handicapped accessible rest room, o A mechanical room, o An emergency electrical generator with sufficient capacity to provide power for the entire building, o A janitor's closet, o A storage room, o A carrier counseling office, o Sufficient on-site parking to meet the local building and zoning code, and o All mechanicals, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, ventilation, fire suppression, natural gas, and telecommunications. Deadline for Question Submittal: April 23, 2025 Proposals to design and build a new Multi-Purpose Community Center building on the property located at the southwest corner of Broadway Street East and Washington Avenue, Fort Meade, Florida. The City of Fort Meade is seeking a team, the Design-Build Team, to design and construct the building, parking, and necessary infrastructure. The City of Fort Meade intends to issue one contract to the selected Design-Build Team for the entire scope of work. Proposals from prospective design build firms shall provide qualifications demonstrating their capacity to implement the proposed project and provide a complete Community Center Building with all required appurtenances at no additional cost to the City of Fort Meade. The City Commission of Fort Meade, Florida reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any minor informalities or minor irregularities in the proposal process, all things being considered equal.
