Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Prichard, Alabama. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
All bids must be on blank forms provided in the Specifications. A certified check or a Bidder's Bond, payable to the City of Prichard, Prichard, Alabama, for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), shall be filed with the proposal, the Bidder's Bond being prepared on the form specified and signed by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. Only bids from qualified contractors licensed as required by the Alabama State Licensing Board for General Contractors will be accepted One Hundred Fifty (150) calendar days are allowed for the construction of the project The right is reserved to reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities and to furnish any item of material or work to change the amount of said contract. Liquidated damages for non-completion of the work within the time limit agreed upon will be assessed in accordance with the terms of the Contract.
