a. Work to be phased to allow the conOnued operaOon of the facility during all construction phases. b. Remove and dispose of the existing AHU-4 DOAS air handling unit. c. Remove and dispose of the existing outdoor air intake penthouse PH-3. d. Remove and dispose of the existing gas fired domesOc water heater. e. Remove and dispose of the existing roof mounted exhaust fans serving the exercise room and adjacent locker rooms. Three fans in total: EF-6, EF-6, EF-7. ExisOng roof openings from demolished exhaust fans must be curb-capped and insulated. f. Install new AHU-4DOAS air handler to serve the exisOng exercise and locker areas. g. Install new ERV-1 energy recovery venOlator to precondiOon outdoor air using combined airflows from exisOng lockers and exercise rooms for which exisOng exhaust fans are demolished. h. Install new Heat-Pump water heaters on new concrete equipment pad in the exisOng boiler room. i. Controls must be compaOble with the newly installed Carrier Controls System. Work must be performed by the City of Charlotte's authorized sole source controls contractor, Carolina Building Controls to avoid and conflicts with the systems warrant. j. Replace hot water and chilled water pipe installaOon within the scope of work areas for any piping impacted by the current scope of work. Deadline to submit Questions Mar 27th 2025, 4:00 PM EDT This work includes the provision of all labor, material, equipment, supervision, and administration to integrate the work outlined in these specifications into the total building system such that no leakage into the system occurs. A 5% bid security is required with each bid that equals or exceeds $300,000. Bid security shall be submitted in accordance with article 4.2 BID SECURITY of SECTION 00 20 00 - INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
