A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The City of Farmington ("City") is requesting proposals from qualified firms (Offerors) to replace legacy SONET network system used to interconnect electric utility substations, generation sites, control centers, and some communication and municipality sites. The City is requesting proposals from responsible firms capable of demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements of this Request for Proposal (RFP). Question Deadline 05/15/2025 at 3:00 PM MT Question submitted Electronically Scope of Services A. Overview: 1. The Offeror is required to supply telecommunication equipment with highcapacity optical Ethernet capabilities. This equipment should be capable of supporting backbone and access service locations. The solution equipment must replace an existing GE JungleMUX network that performs SONET network aggregation. Physically, this will encompass at a minimum of one node per physical location used as demarcation from the station. 2. Farmington Electric Utility System (FEUS) is seeking to replace an aging network that interconnects critical locations for utility substations, generation sites, control centers, and some communication and municipality facilities and bring the network up to current technological standards The solution equipment must replace an existing GE JungleMUX network that performs SONET network aggregation.
