Project Scope: Independence CSD intends to pursue a General Obligation Bond referendum to fund this project. The bond vote is expected to take place on November 4, 2025. The development of the bond program is ongoing, and construction cost range above is contingent on the final decisions on scope. East Elementary School: Scope includes one building addition and various renovations and upgrades. West Elementary School: Scope includes multiple building additions, minor renovations, and the demolition of a portion of the building. Construction Phasing: The addition at East Elementary will be constructed first. Work will commence at West Elementary School upon completion of the East addition. Additional project scope and schedule information will be provided with the upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP). The CMaR scope of services will include assistance to the Owner during the process of Pre-Bond Referendum Planning (limited involvement consisting of general schedule and phasing input, preliminary cost estimating, and attendance at up to 3 public meetings).
