Renovation of a residential development in Sulligent, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Each bid must be submitted in duplicate on forms furnished by the Architect and shall be sealed in an envelope. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid; the successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract. All bonds must be signed by an Alabama Resident or Resident Agent. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Each bid must include the Non-Collusive Affidavit, Representations, Certificates and Other Statements of Bidders and the Previous Participation Certificate signed by the bidder and on the correct HUD forms. All bidders are advised to ensure that the HUD Form 2530 is completely accurately, and each block completed. If the HUD Form 2530 is not correct, the contract award date will be delayed. Contractor shall be licensed in accordance with the State Laws. Proof of licensure will be required on the outside of the Bid Envelope before bid will be considered. Subcontractors whose contracts exceed $50,000, must also be licensed according to the State of Alabama Law and show proof thereof. Note: Bidders are advised that any misrepresentation of information contained in the bid packaged for previous work performed or negative information received by the Housing Authority concerning past work performance will be grounds for rejecting your bid proposal. Bids may be held by the Sulligent Housing Authority for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing them and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Any successful bidder who withdraws their bid for any reason within the 60 day period may forfeit the 5 percent bid bond. All other methods of bidding, except telegraphic modifications, will be considered non-responsive. No modifications on exterior of envelope without proper signature. NO EXCEPTIONS. The work will be in one Prime Contract. Bidders for this work shall have a "commercial contractor" license. All bid envelopes shall contain, on the exterior side, the Contractor's Certificate of Responsibility number. NO EXCEPTIONS. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder whose bid meets the requirements of this Invitation for Bids. The Housing Authority of the City of Sulligent, Sulligent, AL reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Question Deadline Jul 31, 2025 Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation ofthe solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening. Requests may be oral or written. Oral requests must be confirmed in writing.
