The Town of Northumberland is soliciting sealed bids for the pumping of Septic Tanks in Sewer District #1 and various municipal buildings for fiscal years 2025-2027. The bids request is for the pumping of 22 1,000 gallon septic tanks (plus any on as needed basis) and 1-2,000 gallon septic tank located in Sewer District #1 on Third St., Fourth St., and a portion of Kobor Road in the Hamlet of Gansevoort. The bid price must include the pumping of the septic tank at 42 Leonard Street (Highway Garage) and 17 Catherine Street (Town Hall). Each tank will be pumped once in the two- year contract period of 2025 2027. The bid price must include cost for digging up tanks for pumping and provision of any extra hoses or equipment that must be utilized to perform the task. Anyone wishing to review the area to be pumped prior to submitting a bid may contact the Highway Superintendent at 518-793-6901. The contract is for a two- year period. It is anticipated that one half of the tanks will be pumped in year one and the remaining tanks in year two. All invoices must be submitted on a monthly basis. Proof of Insurance is required naming the Town of Northumberland as additional insured on a primary and noncontributory basis. The awarded bidder must sign a contract with a provision holding the Town of Northumberland harmless (indemnification) to cover the awarded bidder s actions and actions of their employees. The Contract will commence April 10,2025 and will end April 10 th , 2027. The Town shall have the right to renew the contract for one additional year. Further, the Town may cancel the contract for any reason upon the provision of 30 days notice. This contract is subject to the NYS Prevailing Wage Schedule. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any irregularities in bidding and accept the bid that is best suited for the Town. No bids received may be withdrawn by any bidder for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of the bid opening.
