Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pemberville, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Village of North Bend (The OWNER) is currently accepting sealed bids for the proposed "William Henry Harrison Park Phase 1 Site Improvements". State of Ohio Fund 7031 or 7035 monies are being used to assist construction and that relevant state requirements will apply. The contract for this work is subject to prevailing wage requirements as established by the Village of North Bend and State of Ohio Department of Natural Resources Grant Funding Provisions. The scope of the Base Bid Work will involve the following: 1. Coordination with the Owner, Owner's Representative and affected agencies including the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) of Greater Cincinnati, Duke Energy, Alta Fiber, Cleves Water Works and the Hamilton County, Ohio Division of Storm Water & Infrastructure and Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District relative to utility improvements, maintenance of service, service disruptions and work permit requirements. 2. Selective Demolition & Clearing required for Earthwork Operations including temporary erosion control measures, topsoil stripping and stockpiling, stripping and stockpiling of existing on-site aggregate pavement, removal of concrete pavements and removal of woody debris. Note: The Owner is separately retaining a clearing contractor to remove all trees and stumps within the work limits of the proposed earthwork operations. All tree clearing and removal will be completed prior to the Contract award and start date. 3. Earthwork including all excavation and embankment, topsoil replacement and temporary seeding. Note that all work will be performed within the 100-year flood plain and above the Ordinary High Water Mark of the Ohio River. The plans call for all earthwork to be balanced on the site. NOTE: The OWNER shall engage a Qualified Testing Agency to perform compaction subgrade inspections, material testing, and compaction testing, according to the earthwork specifications of the bid documents. 4. Ductwork for Site Electric Improvements including each of the following: a. The CONTRACTOR'S supply & installation of ducts and appurtenances serving the MSD Wastewater Treatment Plant including all coordination with the Owner's Representative, MSD, Duke Energy, and Alta Fiber related to Duke Energy's removal of existing overhead services and Duke's responsible underground service connections to the MSD Treatment Plant. b. The supply and installation of ducts and appurtenances serving future site electric facilities for the PARK. All associated coordination, ducts, sleeves and appurtenances to be provided by the CONTRACTOR. Future Area Lighting and the energizing of the Park's Site Electric are not included with the PARK bid work and will be completed a part of a sperate project. 5. Storm Drainage Improvements including the supply and installation of all piping and drainage structures including agency coordination and permit requirements. Further, the Contractor will be responsible for meeting all Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District (HCSWCD) and Hamilton County Division of Stormwater requirements for completing, installing and maintaining the work in compliance with Ohio EPA Notice of Intent (NOI) and the Contractor's approved Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3). 6. Site Pavements including the supply and installation of aggregate subbases, concrete curbing and Integral curb and sidewalk. This work includes all preparation necessary for, but excluding, the installation the Asphalt Paving Base Course and Finish Coat. Note: Integral Concrete Curb & Sidewalks, Asphalt Pavement Base Course & Asphalt Finish Coat Installation are not included in the base bid and will be provided, if accepted, as Bid Alternate Item. 7. Coordination with the Owner's Park Maintenance Staff and Owner's Landscape Contractor regarding access to the work site and scheduling for fine grading, permanent seeding and park improvements outside the General Contractor's scope of work. Bids shall be stated on lump sum basis according to the above descriptions and the items listed on the Bid Form. All prices to be held valid for six months from the date of receipt. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to select the apparent lowest, responsive, responsible and otherwise suitable bidder to such extent as may be in the OWNER'S best interest
