The project is expected to be awarded on September 23, 2025.** The Department of Public Works is advertising for bids to construct the Installation of Advanced Dilemma Zone And Left Turn Phasing Signal Modification Project at Seven (7) Locations. This project is funded by State Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant funds. Project ID No. HSIPL 5055 (190) The work to be done consists of the upgrade of seven (7) existing traffic signals for advanced dilemma zone detection and left turn phasing. This shall include installation of dilemma zone detection systems, traffic signal poles; foundations; signal heads; signal controller and cabinet; conduit; pull boxes; conductors; accessible pedestrian signals; traffic signing; removal and reconstruction of ADA access ramps; concrete sidewalk and all additional work necessary to properly construct the proposed improvements, in accordance with the contract documents. The project also includes roadway improvements at the intersection of Dale Avenue and Orange Avenue. The goal of this project is to provide for the safe and efficient movement of vehicle and pedestrians at the project intersections. The unit prices and lump sum amounts to be paid for under the bid items listed in the Proposal shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals necessary for the completion of the work and for performing all work contemplated and embraced under the Contract, in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. This shall include the Contractor's costs involved with bonding, insurance, worker's compensation, overhead, financing, obtaining required permits and permit fees, mobilization, traffic control, construction information signs, public convenience and safety, protective barricading/fencing, sanitary facilities, storage of equipment and materials, security against theft and vandalism, project site maintenance, dust and runoff control, clean-up and all other items related to the work.
