Signal Pole 70th St. and Nebraska Parkway Project Question Deadline 04/01/2025 at 2:00 PM CT These Special Provisions amend or supplement the City of Lincoln Standard Specifications for Municipal Construction, 2023 Edition, and the City of Lincoln Supplemental Specifications and Standard Plans for Municipal Construction. All provisions that are not so amened or supplemented via these special provisions remain in full force and effect. PROJECT TIE This project is tied with City of Lincoln Projects 706512, 706514, and 706530. In order to be eligible for award of this contract, bidders shall submit a completed bidding proposal for this project and City of Lincoln Project #706513. Award of the contracts, if awarded, will be based on the combined low bid for all contracts. Separate contracts will be awarded for each project CONTRACT TIME, MILESTONES, AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES The Contractor shall have a total of forty-five days (45) consecutive calendar days from the Beginning of Work date to achieve Final Completion of this project. Final Completion is defined as all Work complete, and all lanes open to traffic. Final Completion shall be on or before December 15, 2025. CONSTRUCTION PHASING AND ACCESS Traffic Pole Installation at 70th and Nebraska Parkway may occur under lane closures. STORAGE/STAGING AREAS All staging of equipment and materials shall be within the limits of construction. If the Contractor will require additional space outside the street right-of-way for storage of equipment and material during the duration of the project, then the Contractor, at their expense, shall be responsible to secure temporary property rights from the adjacent property owners and shall provide a copy of the agreement(s) to the City's Project Manager. STATUS OF UTILITIES The Contractor should request a utility status update at the project pre-construction conference, and/or prior to starting work. The Contractor shall coordinate all construction activities with affected utilities. CITY CONTACTS LTU/Traffic Engineering, Signals - The City of Lincoln has existing conduits, pull boxes, street lighting, traffic signal, traffic signal detector loops and associated elements within the project limits. Coordination with the City's Project Manager and the City of Lincoln Traffic Engineering staff will be required for when any work is impacting or in the proximity of any traffic signal element. The Contractor shall notify the City's Project Manager and Traffic Engineering a minimum of five (5) working days prior to the start of any work that would be in the proximity or directly impact any part of these facilities. Coordination with the City's Project Manager and the City of Lincoln Traffic Engineering staff will be required when markings and signs are to be replaced, relocated, or installed. Removal of existing markings and installation of proposed markings shall be completed by the Contractor. Removal or relocation of existing signs and installation of proposed signs shall be completed by the City of Lincoln Sign Shop. Three new communication services to be coordinated per proposed design in contract documents. The Contractor shall notify the City's Project Manager and Broadband a minimum of five (5) working days prior to the start of any work that would be in the proximity or directly impact any part of these facilities.
