Construction of the 2025 Asbestos Cement Transmission Main Replacement - Phase 1 ("Project"). Work to be performed includes Replacement of approximately 9,000 linear feet of 2-, 8-, and 12-inch diameter water main - Schedule A; and 740 linear feet of 4 and 8-inch diameter water main - Schedule B, including replacement of water services, hydrants, and miscellaneous appurtenances together with the partial removal and abandonment of the existing water system facilities. Also included is landscape restoration, asphalt road patching and overlay, and other work associated with a domestic drinking water distribution system replacement project. The Contract award will be based on the bid for the combined total for Schedules A and B and other criteria specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Due to cost and financing issues, the District reserves the right to eliminate Schedule B or a portion of Schedule B from the Contract. The District will notify the successful bidder of its decision to proceed with Schedule B or eliminate all or part of Schedule B from the Contract prior to giving notice of Contract award. The Contract Documents will be adjusted to reflect any such elimination. It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List." Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of the addenda and will need to periodically check the online plan room for addenda issued on this project.
