Documents can be obtained from https://www.biddingo.com/ Bidders are to provide a bid for full scope of services as outlined in Keith Lang Engineering Limited drawings ME-1 Rev. 2 and M-1 Rev. 2 dated December 11, 2024, and included in Appendix F. Work to be completed as allowed under the outline of interruption of active services and in the sequence of work on sheet M-1. The removal of the existing boiler and replacement boiler as specified as a Lochinvar Model AWH0800NPM, complete with all associated plumbing, tempering valve, communications/controls, venting, immersion aquastat and all materials required to complete the scope of work as noted on Drawing M-1. The District will consider proposed alternates, but they must meet all specifications as outlined in the contract documents and meet performance requirements. Proposed alternates for equipment must be submitted with the bidder's bid submission for acceptance. Acceptance of proposed alternates will be at the District's sole discretion. Commissioning, staff training on equipment and manual is to be included before the project will be considered complete. One (1) hard copy and electronic version of the manual is to be submitted to the District for acceptance including all operational, maintenance and warranty information, including a set of as-built drawings in both hardcopy and electronic versions. 2. Scope of Work The scope of the work includes all labour, materials and appurtenances to complete the replacement of the existing boiler plant at The Pines Long Term Home located at 98 Pine Street in Bracebridge, Ontario. This boiler is being replaced due to age to avoid failure. This boiler services the laundry and kitchen areas of the building. Therefore allowable work hours for interruption of hot water will be 7:30pm to 8:00am. See drawings for a schedule of work that can be done during regular working hours in advance of a hot water shutdown. There will be some cross over services with the boiler that services the resident units with the addition of a mixing valve as per the contract documents. Please refer to Appendix F - Specifications & Drawings for complete details of the required scope of work. 3. Project Schedule Bidders are to submit a project schedule, with their bid submission, to complete the scope of work herein, indicating approximate project start and completion timelines. The successful bidder will then provide a detailed schedule which would include confirmation of equipment availability, shop drawing reviews by all parties and equipment lead times to delivery arriving on site.
