Site work and outdoor lighting for a transportation facility in Andrews, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.

The Runway and Taxiway Lighting Rehabilitation project consists of removal of the existing runway and taxiway lighting system and replacement in the current location. The new system will consist of the installation of base mounted medium intensity LED taxiway and runway lights with the circuit installed in 2 inch PVC conduit. Runway hold signs will also be installed at the existing taxiway entrances to the runway. The new circuit will be extended to the current vault and connected to a new lighting regulator. The project will be awarded to one Contractor in the best interests of Georgetown County, dependent on availability of local, state, and federal funding. Georgetown County, SC is seeking sealed bids for the removal of the existing runway and taxiway lighting system and installation of base mounted medium intensity LED taxiway and runway lights with the circuit installed in 2-inch PVC conduit. Runway hold signs will also be installed at the existing taxiway entrances to the runway. See bid document and drawings for full details and bid requirements. This solicitation does not commit Georgetown County to award a contract, to pay any cost incurred in the preparation of the bid, or to procure or contract for goods or services. It is the responsibility of each bidder to see that they submit their bids on or before, the date and time specified for the bid opening. No bid will be accepted thereafter. Georgetown County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities and technicalities in the bid process. The Runway and Taxiway Lighting Rehabilitation project consists of removal of the existing runway and taxiway lighting system and replacement in the current location. The new system will consist of the installation of base mounted medium intensity LED taxiway and runway lights with the circuit installed in 2 inch PVC conduit. Runway hold signs will also be installed at the existing taxiway entrances to the runway. The new circuit will be extended to the current vault and connected to a new lighting regulator. The project will be awarded to one Contractor in the best interests of Georgetown County, dependent on availability of local, state, and federal funding. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the required Contract will be executed within fifteen (15) days after receipt of written notice of formal award of Contract. Bids not including such a bid bond will not be considered. The successful offeror must provide a Performance Bond from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the State of South Carolina in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract amount, within fifteen (15) days the after receipt of written notice of formal award of the Contract. Pricing for such Performance Bond should be indicated separately on the Vendor Bid Submission Form. The successful offeror must provide a Payment and Material Bond from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the State of South Carolina in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract amount, within fifteen (15) days after receipt of written notice of formal award of Contract. The contractor is responsible for contacting the Palmetto Utility Protection Service (P.U.P.S.) at its 811 or toll-free number (1-888-721-7877) between the hours of 7:30 am (ET) and 5:30 pm (ET), Monday through Friday, 72 hours before starting the proposed work. The contractor will be responsible for disposal of any and all removed, unused and surplus materials and any fees and transportation costs associated with the disposal. The contract time is fifty (50) calendar days for Runway and Taxiway Lighting Rehabilitation. A liquidated damages fee of $1,500 per calendar day applies for each day beyond the contract completion date.
