Contractors interested in submitting construction bids for the Chiller/Cooling Tower Replacement at Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center in Leonardtown, Maryland, for the Board of Education of St. Mary's County, are invited to prequalify in accordance with the Prequalification Process of St. Mary's County Public Schools, and the requirements of this Prequalification Package. Project Description: This Project is generally comprised of, but not limited to, the following: The project includes replacement of two (2) water cooled chillers, roof mounted cooling tower, chilled water and condenser water pumps, refrigerant monitoring and purge system, chilled water piping within the equipment room, condenser water piping system, power connections and interface with the existing Building Automation System (BAS). Substantial Completion: April 3, 2026 Final Completion: April 24, 2026. Project Cost Class C - $500,000 to $1,000,000. Deadline for Questions: Any prospective contractor desiring an explanation or interpretation of this invitation to prequalify must request such in writing in advance of March 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. to allow a reply to reach all prospective contractors before the submission deadline.
