All surfaces must be repaired of holes, cracks, scratches, and other imperfections and ready to receive paint. All corridors, restrooms, and vestibules are to be primed with PPG-Seal Grip Primer (17-931) painted with two coats of PPG water born alkyd paint with satin finish. All classrooms and offices are to be painted with two coats of PPG paint, satin finish. Prime and repairs as needed. All hard ceilings to be painted with one coat of PPG ceiling paint. Interior stair railings are to be properly prepared to receive PPG-Seal Grip Primer (17-931), and painted with PPG water born alkyd paint with semi-gloss finish. Interior doors and frames that are painted are to be properly prepared to receive PPG-Seal Grip Primer (17-931), and painted with PPG water born alkyd paint with semi-gloss finish. All interior doors that are natural wood are to remain as is. The awarded contractor understands that the project shall take place from June 18, 2025 and completed by July 31, 2025. All field measurements must be completed during the walk-through date(s). No changes in total area will be accepted after the bids have been submitted. Procurement of materials and supplies may/should begin before access to the school building is available to ensure a completion date of July 31, 2025. Contractors are required to provide a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. The surety must be a Guarantee or Surety Company acceptable to the U. S. Government as published in U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570 and must be licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Contractors are required to provide and a "Performance Bond" in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Sum prior to signing a construction contract. Bidders must submit a letter with their bid certifying that they are bondable for this project. Contractor bids will be submitted under the condition of irrevocability for a period of thirty (30) days after bid opening. All bids shall be effective for a period of sixty days (60) from the opening date of this bid, and no bid may be withdrawn prior thereto. Additionally, Propel Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids furnished which in their opinion, do not conform to the requirements of the specifications.
