The City of Irving is seeking lump sum bids for minor construction at the Police and Fire Training Academy located at 2603 Esters Rd, Irving, TX 75062 to include the following: building a wall to include door installation building a workstation with solid countertop supported by pony walls, shelving and support posts relocating and mounting exisitng shelving associated painting ADD-ALTERNATE 1 - installtion of 14 electrical outlets Please see specifications for further information and for evaluation criteria for this Best Value Bid. The responses will be posted after consultation with the appropriate department personnel. If the responses necessitate a significant change to the specifications, an addendum will be issued. The intent of the Plans and Specifications is to prescribe a complete work or improvement which the Contractor undertakes to do in full compliance with the Plans, Specifications, and Contract for the Project. The Contractor shall do all Work as provided in the Contract and shall do such additional Extra Work as may be considered necessary to complete the Work in a satisfactory and acceptable manner. All Work shall conform to the lines, grades, cross-sections, and dimensions shown on the Plans. Any deviation from the Plans which may be required by the exigencies of construction will be determined by the Engineer, or his/her designee, and authorized by the Engineer in writing. The Contractor shall waive any part error or omission in the Plans and Specifications, and the Engineer shall be permitted to make such corrections or interpretations as may be deemed necessary for the fulfillment of the intent of the Plans and Specifications. The term "Work" shall mean whatever is done by or required of the Contractor to perform and complete its duties under this Contract, including the following: construction of the whole or a designated part of the Project; furnishing of any required surety bonds and insurance, and the provision or furnishing of labor, supervision, services, materials, supplies, equipment, fixtures, appliances, facilities, tools, transportation, storage, power, permits and licenses required of the Contractor, FF&E, fuel, heat, light, cooling, and all other utilities as required by this Contract. In the event the Contractor discovers an apparent error or discrepancy, he/she shall immediately call this to the attention of the Engineer in writing.
