Demolition and site work for an educational facility in Suffolk, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The City of Suffolk ("The City") is seeking a qualified contractor to provide hazardous materials abatement and demolition of the one story masonry and steel building, approximately 55,100 sq. ft. elementary school building constructed in 1968, located at 4207 Driver Ln., Suffolk, VA. Work must be done in accordance with all specifications, terms, and conditions herein. If said work is not completed within 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, the Contractor will be liable and hereby agrees to pay to the City as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, the amount of two hundred fifty ($250.00) per calendar day for each and every part of a day thereafter that said work remains incomplete All bids in excess of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, certified check, or other acceptable security. The amount of the bid security must be equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. QA date - 12 August 2025 Questions concerning this project must be in writing and addressed to the Contract Officer stated herein; and, must be received no later than five (5) business days preceding the date that the bids are accepted.
