The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of the existing 600kW generator with a new, owner furnished, 600kW generator, the replacement of the existing automatic transfer switch and low-voltage transformer and panel board. The work also includes the demolition and removal of the existing above ground diesel fuel tank. Licensing Requirements: Contractors shall be licensed Electrical Contractors in the State of Florida. Any other State or County License(s), Certification(s) or Registration(s) deemed legally permissible by the City to conduct the nature of the work required in this solicitation. Pre-Bid Meeting/Site Visit: There will not be a pre-bid meeting and/or site visit for this Invitation to Bid. However, it will be the sole responsibility of the bidder to inspect the City's location(s)/facilities and become familiar with the scope of the City's requirements and systems prior to submitting a proposal. No variation in price or conditions shall be permitted based upon a claim of ignorance. Submission of a proposal will be considered evidence that the proposer has familiarized himself with the nature and extent of the work, equipment, materials, and labor required. Bid Security: A certified check, cashier's check, bank officer's check or bid bond of 5 percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shall accompany each offer.
