Bid Request No. 2025-009 is for 10.87 mi. of overlay, milling, pavement marking and const traffic control at various locations in unincorporated Johnson County. The successful bidder(s) shall be required to submit Tax Clearance Certifications, as provided for in the bid documents, prior to issuance of the Notice To Proceed. These forms should only be requested after the bid has been opened and only from the winning bidder(s) at the time of contract execution. Nonresident corporations that are not already registered with Kansas Secretary of State and all nonresident individuals and partnerships are required by law to register with the Director of Revenue, State Office Building, Topeka, Kansas, and to pay a fee for each and every contract as a precedent to commencing work on the contract. For contracts in excess of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) the foreign contractor shall file with the Director of Revenue an acceptable bond pursuant to K.S.A. 79-1010. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening. The County reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest and best, responsive and responsible bidder(s) for the work covered by the bid and to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted.
