Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only. Official sets must be obtained from McKee and Associates. All General Contractors biddingon this project shall be requiredto visit the site and examine allexisting conditions prior to submitting their proposal. All Bidders shall have general liabilityand workman's compensationinsurance. A certified check or Bid Bondpayable to Covington County Schools in an amount notless than five percent (5%) ofthe amount of the bid, but in noevent more than $10,000.00must accompany the bidder'sproposal. Performance andstatutory labor and materialpayment bonds will be requiredat the signing of the Contract. All bidders bidding in amountsexceeding that established bythe State Licensing Board forGeneral Contractors must belicensed under the provisionsof Title 34, Chapter 8, Code ofAlabama, 1975 and must showevidence of license before bidding or bid will not be receivedor considered by the Architect. The project shall be bid excluding taxes. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnishedby the Architect or copies thereof. No bid may be withdrawnafter the scheduled closing forreceipt of bids for a period ofninety (90) days. The Ownerreserves the right to reject anyor all proposals and to waivetechnical errors if, in the Ownersjudgment, the best interests ofthe Owner will thereby be promoted.
