This Scope of Work (SOW) outlines the necessary requirements and expectations for the procurement of elevator consulting services for Collin County, Texas. This solicitation seeks a general contract with qualified firms capable of providing preliminary consulting services related to the assessment, inspection, and maintenance of existing elevators and escalators. The selected firm will provide expert analysis and recommendations to ensure the safety, efficiency, and compliance of our elevator systems with applicable regulations, standards, and best practices. The resulting Professional Services Agreement will be for a term of one (1) year, to begin upon award, with three (3) additional annual renewal options. The response will be in the form of a "Statement of Qualifications" (SOQ). The County seeks to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant vertical transportation systems on all County properties. The life cycle of most of these systems are at the point where they need to be reconditioned, and many of them have parts that are either scarce or unavailable, which leads to major downtimes in County buildings. The County is seeking a consultant to provide expertise in design, construction, maintenance, modernization, and code compliance, to help the County make informed decisions and to manage costs.
