Scope:- The Otay Water District (District) is a water, recycled water, and sewer service provider. The District provides water service to customers within roughly 125 square miles of southeastern San Diego County, California. Its facilities serve the water, recycled water, and sewer needs of customers residing in the communities of eastern Chula Vista, Bonita, Jamul, Spring Valley, Rancho San Diego, unincorporated areas of El Cajon and La Mesa, and eastern Otay Mesa along the international border with Mexico. The District is requesting Quotation (RFQ) from qualified and licensed contractors (Respondent) to Rebuild or Replace Peerless Pump at 980-1 Pump Station. -Rebuild or replace one (1) 450 HP Peerless Pump located at position #1 at 980-1 Pump Station. This facility is located at 2706 Otay Lakes Rd, Chula Vista, CA 91915. This pumping station was built according to existing information in 1988 and the equipment in reference has never been rebuilt. The Work shall include: a) Any necessary permits if needed, including costs. b) The isolation of existing equipment. Remove existing pump. motor and related equipment, and transport and store at the Contractor's shop. c) The mechanical and electrical disconnection of the existing pump, motor, and piping for the removal of the pump. d) The hoisting/rigging for the removal of the existing pump, motor, and associated piping. e) Pump rebuild and reassembly, or full replacement, as needed. All labor, material, and equipment associated with the rebuilding or replacement of the existing pump, and associated piping/fittings. f) The hoisting/rigging/alignment for the re-installation of the newly reconditioned/replaced pump, motor, and associated piping. g) Reinstall the rebuilt or new pump assembly, motor and reconnect it. The mechanical and electrical reconnection of the new or rebuild or new pump, motor, and piping. h) The re-installation of the pump to its original condition. Including electrical connection of the motor i) Furnish parts record, labor and rebuild specifications as requested by District. All labor, material, and equipment associated with testing the completed assembly and providing documented test results. j) After completion of all equipment, component, and material installations, perform a full system functional test and demonstrate the full operation/functionality of the new equipment (pump/motor) k) Thoroughly clean up the work area at completion of the project. l) The equipment (motor pump) shall be balanced-aligned and shall be within the allowable vibration limits according to the manufacturer.
