Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The proposed improvements include, but are not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment for the reconstruction of the existing concrete roadway, installation of subdrains, reset all existing utility surface features to finish grade, replacement of the adjacent driveway approaches, ADA sidewalk ramp installations, topsoil, sodding, and erosion control. For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the "Response Attachments" tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Working Days - There are no Working Days for this contract. The Contractor shall complete the contract, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment for the bid by August 15, 2025. Liquidated Damages - Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per day The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so. Project Manager The City Engineer or his designated representatives shall be the Project Manager. 2. Scope of Work and Scheduling This project is located on Oak Street from Address 2804 to W. 29 th Street. The proposed improvements include, but are not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment for the reconstruction of the existing concrete roadway, installation of subdrains, reset all existing utility surface features to finish grade, replacement of the adjacent driveway approaches, ADA sidewalk ramp installations, topsoil, sodding, and erosion control. The quantities herein represent the Engineer’s estimate of the amount of work to be completed. Actual as-built quantities may vary from bid quantities. The contract time shall be per SUDAS Section 1080-1.02, A.1, Completion Date Contracts. It is anticipated that the contract will be approved on May 14, 2025 and the Notice to Proceed will be issued for an anticipated start date for construction no sooner than June 1, 2025, and once all contract documents have been executed. There are no Working Days for this contract. The Contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment for the bid by August 15, 2025. Liquidated damages shall be $500 per day.
