A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Paving-Surfacing Mill and Overlay 2025 The Town of Chelmsford DPW - Division is requesting bids from qualified Contractors. The work under this contract will include all equipment, labor, material, supplies, etc. necessary to furnish the work described in this contract. It will include pavement milling to an approximate depth of 1.5" to 2.0" as determined by Joe Erikson, Highway Superintendent, asphalt berm and granite curb removal and installation, asphalt paving, ADA wheel-chair ramps, restoration, and all associated work. Question Deadline 04/03/2025 No interpretation of the bid documents will be made orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to the Town's Designated Representative listed in INVITATION TO BID and to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the Contract Documents. It is the responsibility of each bidder to check online periodically for any additional addenda. A bid bond of 5% payable to the Town of Chelmsford shall accompany each bid. This may be in the form of a certified check or bid bond. A Payment Bond and Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract will be required from the successful bidder. There will not be a site visit for this Invitation to Bid. Bidders are encouraged to visit the locations listed in the bid ahead of preparing his/her bid. Right to Reject Bid The Town of Chelmsford acting through its Town Manager, the awarding authority, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bid if it would be in the best interest of the Town. The Owner also reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder that the Owner considers to be unqualified based on the criteria set forth herein. The time to complete work after issuance of Notice to Proceed shall be no later than 180 days from Notice to Proceed date.
