Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a water / sewer project in Roslyn Heights, New York. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Project work includes construction of one (1) new treatment building in order to address the issues posed by emerging contaminants in its drinking water. Currently there is no treatment at the Well 5 facility for the removal of per- or poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). To accommodate for the installation of treatment for these compounds, the District is proposing the construction of a Granular Activated Carbon system (GAC) for the removal of PFAS compounds. This project will also include replacement/upgrades/rehabilitations to existing District equipment and facilities required for the installation of the treatment system. The project also includes demolishing the existing facilities and appurtenances and installing a new packed tower aeration system (PTAS) and clearwell, raising the caustic tank, electrical service equipment, and raising the well above grade to meet emerging contamination treatment recommendations.
