Tire Law son Park Board seeks to replace an existing playground in the Lawson City Park with new equipment that will sen e our community's needs for now and the future. The goal of the new playground is to include some ADA-accessible and all-inclusive features, although the entire structure does not have to be accessible. Our target age group is ages 3-12, but again, we would like it to be inclusive of all ages, so features that can be enjoyed by all would be ideal. The City of Law son lias a set amount of funds to be allocated to this project, so the total cost will be a determining factor for the completion of the project. The existing playground has a footprint of approximately 35 x 45 feet. In order to accommodate swings, we understand that the footprint will need to be extended. The footprint could extend up to an additional 35' to the north and no more than 40' to the south. There is no room to expand to the cast or the west. Prior to installation, the site will be cleared of all existing equipment. benches, mulch, etc. The surface will be graded and ready for installation. Overall playground must have some ADA accessibility Tower structure with 2-3 slides (1 enclosed), climbing structure(s) and roller slidc/tablc Swings (3 regular. 1 ADA) ADA accessible teeter totter (called a "sway fun glider" in some brands) OPTIONAL: Interactive panels incorporated into 11k tower Other elements that will add to the overall experience SURFACE: Engineered wood fiber - option for us to provide.
