The University of North Dakota would like to bring the Memorial Stadium track surface back to a usable surface, to allow for usage by athletes, as well as possibly hosting outdoor events.\ The University of North Dakota Track Replacement project includes concrete infill and concrete replacement at damaged or missing locations around the existing track, additional concrete at the southeast corner of the track for a straightaway run-out area, and long jump renovation/ new work. This package is for these items only. Track and runway surfacing to be provided by others at a later date. This project is to be bid per the following categories: Base Bid: Installation of new concrete at north end of track that was removed for construction of the Hawkway connecting link between Pollard Athletics Center and Memorial Village 1. Installation includes removal of existing overburden from the adjacent construction down 1 '-0" from finished top of concrete and replacement of 6" compacted aggregate subbase followed by installation of 6" of fiber mesh reinforced concrete with #4 grade 40 rebar at 16" O.C each direction. Base bid also includes removal of 658 square feet of damaged concrete at the northwest corner of the track. Demolish the existing 6" reinforced concrete and excavate down 6" to replace the existing 6" of compacted aggregate subbase. Install 6" of fiber mesh reinforced concrete with #4 grade 40 rebar at 16" O.C each direction. Base bid also includes installation of southeast run out area. Excavate 1'-0" down from top of finished concrete locations and install 6" compacted aggregate subbase followed by installation of 6" of fiber mesh reinforced concrete with #4 grade 40 rebar at 16" O.C each direction. Alternate A: Demolish both north and south existing concrete long jump pits on the east side of track and replace with new long jump pits as shown on drawings. Do not damage or remove existing concrete runway as it will be reused. Alternate B: Install two long jump pits and concrete runways along the west side of track. Excavate 1 '-0" down from top of finished concrete locations and install 6" compacted aggregate subbase followed by installation of 6" of fiber mesh reinforced concrete with #4 grade 40 rebar at 16" O.C each direction for runways. Install new long jump pits (2) on north end and (2) on south end as shown on drawings. Alternate C: Install two long jump pits and concrete runways along the west side of track. Excavate 1 '-0" down from top of finished concrete locations and install 6" compacted aggregate subbase followed by installation of 6" of fiber mesh reinforced concrete with #4 grade 40 rebar at 16" O.C each direction for runways. Install new long jump pits (2) on north end and (2) on south end as shown on drawings.
