No definite date for the rebid.** Coventry Local Schools (CLSD) is requesting bids for the Spray Polyurethane Foam Roofing - Coventry Middle School - Modular Classroom Unit. It should be noted that this RFP is solely to provide sprayed polyurethane foam roofing for Coventry Middle School only on the 10-unit modular classroom building. Coventry Local Schools - 3257 Manchester Road, Akron OH 4319 CLSD reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Anticipated Award Date: 04/20/2025 Our goal is to: Install roofing over the modular classroom unit at the middle school (approx. 10,946 sq. ft.) with vendor supplied Conklin brand (or equivalent) insulated Sprayed Polyurethane Foam (SPF), liquid applied polyurethane layering. New drain sleeve inserts and perimeter edge flashing to be included. Coventry Local Schools reserves the right to award any contract or opportunity to any individual or firm. Award is determined solely by Coventry Local Schools, in its absolute discretion. Additionally, Coventry Local Schools has the right to reject any or all proposals. Awarded vendor shall provide all materials and labor to prepare existing roof surface and install Conklin (or equivalent) roof systems as follows: 1. Prepare surrounding area to avoid over-spray during roof installation. 2. Power wash existing epdm rubber roof surface using degreaser. 3. Remove any wind rolled existing roof membrane and fasten as needed. 4. Fasten Ico board (area approx. 87' x 35') for proper drainage. 5. Apply SPF at one-inch ratio onto prepared roof surface and around any roof penetrations. 6. Apply basecoat at 2 gallons per square (one square= 100 sq ft). 7. Apply topcoat at 2 gallons per square. 8. Responsible for the removal and hauling (off school property) of existing equipment no longer needed and all other debris to be included in the proposed bid 9. Description of warranty and claim procedures. Must be a minimum of 20 year - full system - non-pro-rated, renewable warranty. 10. Awarded vendor will perform work in accordance with OSHA, State and Local regulations and equipment. 11. This Project is a public project governed by competitive bidding requirements. Any modification, clarification or deviation from the Bid Form could cause the Bid to be rejected as non-responsive. 12. Bidders are advised this Project is tax exempt. A copy of the tax exemption will be furnished to the successful contractor. 13. Insurance is required for this project, which includes liability coverage as well as Bureau of Workers Compensation coverage. Contractors will not be allowed on site until they have fully complied with the insurance requirements.
