UF is seeking establish an indefinite quantity, firm fixed price contract to be used as the primary source for Annual Flooring covering materials purchase, installation and related services. The intent of this solicitation is to establish a pool of vendors authorized to provide flooring covering materials as specified in Section 1.6. As it is impossible to determine the precise quantities that may be needed the contractor is obligated to deliver any of the items or combination of items contracted for in accordance with the General, and Non-Technical Specifications of this bid. Determination of equivalency of the item shall be the responsibility of the UF Department, whose decision shall be final, and the department approval shall be obtained prior to the supply of an alternate material. For bid purposes, it should be noted that UF expects to commit $500,000+ per year for this contract, however the contract does not guarantee business. Bid pricing shall include all removal and proper disposal of current flooring as required for job installation. Contractor will be responsible for removing and/or moving and replacement of all furniture as necessary for the completion of each job. RECYCLING: Contractor shall be responsible for the recycling/removal of all existing carpet, pad, scraps, and debris from UF campus. Term of Agreement: The term of this Agreement will be for an initial period of three (3) years from the date of award, with an option to renew based on satisfactory performance and the written approval of both parties for up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
