This bid guarantee must be redeemed at the signature of the contract for a performance guarantee and a guarantee of obligations for pledges, materials and services as mentioned in the general terms and conditions of the tender documents.Where these guarantees are in the form of a bond, the amount of each guarantee is 50% of the contract price and when they are in the form of a certified cheque, the amount of each guarantee is 10% of the contract price. For the purposes of awarding the contract, only tenders submitted by contractors with their principal place of business in Quebec and holding, where applicable, the required licence under the Building Act (R.S.Q., c. B.-1.1) will be considered.
