Refurbishment of the Canada Games Aquatic Centre (CGAC). Phase 1 includes: replacement of the competition pool bulkhead and pool guard chair. Provide construction management services for CGAC renovations including constructability reviews, cost planning and budgeting, procurement strategies for long-lead items, tendering and selection of trade subcontractors, site management, coordination with the consultant team, commissioning support, and project closeout, with work aligning to Phases C to E and a firm completion deadline of June 30, 2028 In early 2025, the City of Saint John procured for the services of a qualified architectural firm (Consultant) to lead a multi-disciplinary team for the design and construction management of the refurbishment of the Canada Games Aquatic Centre (CGAC). In addition to architectural expertise, the consulting team includes professionals in civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, and energy engineering, as well as other specialized disciplines such as cost consultants required to successfully design and manage this complex project. MJMA/Acre Architects were selected as the joint architectural partners for the project. In all matters, the Consultant shall act as a trusted advisor to the City, providing regular updates on all key aspects of the project, including design, procurement, and construction progress. A barrier free entry ramp. A full perimeter overflow gutter system. A full tile finish (interior of pool tank), c/w 6 lane markings and end wall targets. A Regenerative Media Filtration System (see Design Data). A 10 HP Recirculation pump (see Design Data). An 80 sq ft underground concrete Surge Tank adjacent to the Lap Pool (under the deck). o A Tots Pool (Cast-in-Place concrete pool tank), complete with: An area of 1,222 Sq Ft with a water depth of 0.9M.
