The project sites are located at: C-71(817) - on 340 Street between 475 Avenue and 490 Avenue , C-71(898) - on 340 Street between 520 Avenue and 535 Avenue, both in Platte County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as "Platte County CBCs C-71(817) & C-71(898)" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: C-71(817) - twin 10' x 8' x 52' concrete box culvert on a 10 skew (rhb), and C-71(898) - triple 12' x 8' x 52' concrete box culvert on a 10 skew (rhb), and other incidental work each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Platte County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to include an estimated start of construction and completion date with their Bid Proposal. The desired completion date is November 30, 2025. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed seventy (70) calendar days for completion of each site after beginning work at the site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion date. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. No project can be started without the intent to complete that site without delay from the other sites, therefore, the Contractor will not be allowed to start the removals at a site unless they have committed a crew to complete the work at that site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to acceptance by the Platte County Board of Supervisors. The Platte County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received.
