As of May 1, 2025 project was awarded to Lester Contracting in the amount $1,290,001.50 This project consists of a Base Bid for: 1) the construction of approximately 4,200 square yards of concrete parking lot at the CCISD's HJM Elementary School in Port Lavaca, Texas and 2) the construction of approximately 3,000 square yards of flexible pavement parking lot at the CCISD's Port O'Connor Elementary School in Port O'Connor, Texas & an additive Alternate Bid for: 1) the construction of approximately 1,600 square yards of concrete parking lot and 2) the construction of approximately 5,300 square yards of flexible pavement parking lot at the CCISD's District Support Center, Appraisal District, and Hope High School in Port Lavaca, Texas. Bidders must submit a bid bond, cashier's or certified check payable without recourse to the order of the Calhoun County ISD, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid submitted as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bonds and guarantee in the forms provided within fifteen (15) days after Notice of Award of contract to him. Bids submitted without the required security will not be considered. The successful Bidder will be required to purchase and furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible surety company, authorized to do business in the State of Texas, as required by Article 5160, V.A.T.C.S., as amended by H.B. 344, passed by the 56th Legislature, Regular Session, 1959.
