Walker County is seeking to procure Water Conditioning System and all equipment, materials, supplies, labor, any included maintenance and all other costs associated with the purchase and installation of the Water Conditioning System as well as other unassociated plumbing work in accordance with the engineering project manual (See Attachment E) at the Walker County Jail. The project consists of construction for plumbing repairs and renovations at the Walker County Jail Facility as designed and specified in the construction documents. The work is to include but is not limited to, the replacement of corroded piping, valves, and other plumbing specialty items, installation of additional valves and piping, demolition of an existing water softener system, installation of replacement water conditioning systems, and installation of solenoid valves. Walker County prefers the solenoid valves be placed in lower-level plumbing closets (not shown; coordinate with the County), with four (4) valves per closet: two (2) hot, two (2) cold. Electrical work includes providing 120V branch circuits for controls (control transformers by others); low-voltage work by others. Note: The Scope of work is divided into Packages and Alternates, each requiring separate pricing (see Detail 9 "Project Notes" on Drawing PE8.11)."
