Provide all labor, materials, equipment, superintendence, temporary facilities, and administration necessary to perform the Work outlined below and described in greater detail in this specification. 2 All work to follow the City of St. John's Specification Book unless noted otherwise. In case of conflict between the City of St. John's Specification Book and specifications or other requirements in this document, this document will take precedence. .3 A City of St. John's Building Permit for the work is approved under the City of St. John's file number SIT2500008. The Contractor is responsible for acquiring the building permit, including payment of permit fees, and adhering to all requirements and stipulations of the building permit, including but not limited to coordinating the final inspection of the work with the City. 4 All work for this project is to be completed in accordance with all related NL Housing specificationsand Occupational Health and Safety requirements. .5 Contractor is responsible for verifying all measurements on site before the start of work. 1 Work for this project includes, but is not limited to the removal of asphalt, concrete curb, grass, and partial removal of concrete foundations at NLHC property on Chalker Place in St. John's, NL. Note: Units are occupied. .2 Work for this project is as specified herein and referred to in the specifications. 3 The Contractor is responsible for the repair or replacement of all items damaged by and during construction .4 The following outline is general and is not to be considered complete in every detail. All items are to be supplied and installed unless otherwise noted. .5 The contractor shall ensure that the tenants have a safe means of access to and or egress from area under construction. .6 There is a pre-tender meeting scheduled for 10:00 AM on 9th April 2025 at Chalker PI, St. John's, NL. .1 Demolition: 1.1 Remove asphalt as indicated on the drawings and dispose of it off-site at an appropriate location. 1.3 Remove existing concrete walls and foundations to 0.5m below finished grade and dispose of off site at an appropriate location. 1.5 Perform site excavation and grading as indicated on the drawings, and dispose of excess fill off-site at an appropriate location. 1.7 Protect existing trees during demolition and construction as indicated on the drawings. 2 Site Work: 2.1 Install new concrete curb and granular base material as indicated on the drawings and to the City of St. John's specifications. 2.2 Install a new asphalt walkway including base materials as indicated on the drawings and to the City of St. John's specifications. 2.3 Grade site to grades as indicated on the drawings 2.4 Patch and reinstate asphalt pavement as required and indicated on the drawings to the City of St. John's specifications. 2.5 Plant new shrubs as indicated on the drawings and to the City of St. John's specifications. Shrubs to be a mix of Juniper, Burning Bush and Japanese Yew or other to owner's approval. 2.6 Install a new tree as indicated on the drawings and to the City of St. John's specifications.
