Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, provided on the specified form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U. S. Department of Treasury Circular 570 The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes The work to be done consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment, and the performance ofall work included in this Contract. The summary ofthe work is presented in Section 01010. Work Included 1. The Contractorshall furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, and other means ofconstruction necessary or proper for performing and completing the work. He shall obtain and pay for all applicable required permits. He shall perfonn and complete the work in the manner best calculated to promote rapid construction consistent with safety oflife and property and to the satisfaction ofthe Engineer, and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall clean up the work and maintain it during and after construction, until accepted, and shall do all work and pay all costs incidental thereto. He shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance ofthe work. 2. The cost ofincidental work described in these General Requirements, for which there are no specific Contract Items, shall be considered as part ofthe general cost ofdoing the work and shall be included in the prices for the various Contract Items. No additional payment will be made therefor. 3. The Contractorshall provide and maintain such modern tools, and equipment as may be necessary, in the opinion ofthe Engineer, to perform in a satisfactory and acceptable manner all the work required by this Contract. Only equipment ofestablished reputation and proven efficiency shall be used. The Contractor shall be solely responsible forthe adequacy ofhis workmanship, materials and equipment, prior approval ofthe Engineer notwithstanding.
