A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The State Preservation Board (SPB) is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide and install new seating in the Texas Spirit Theater at the Bullock Texas State History Museum located in Austin, Texas. Background: The Bullock Texas State History Museum's (TSHM) Texas Spirit Theater is a unique multisensory 193 seat venue. The theater has two signature short films that show daily and is also the backdrop for many museum and rental events. The seating and carpet have served us well but have reached the end of their service life. The museum aims to replace the seating and carpet to improve the theater experience Summer 2025. 2. Seating Plan Review: Prior to ordering of seats, the Museum operations team must approve of any changes to sightlines. Vendor must ensure that adding cupholders will not reduce the width of the aisles beyond what is legally required. The theater layout and seating capacity will not change. 3. Seat Specifications: a. Provide one hundred ninety-three (193), Irwin Seating Company Signature Model 38" 12S loge upholstered theater seats OR EQUIVALENT. Seat backs and bottom cushions will be upholstered with extra deep foam, suspension substrate and glass filled polypropylene seat structure. Seats will be covered in Morbern Cosmic Bantam, have end panels in laminate, and oak wood armrest. b. Row designation letter plates, and seat number plates. c. Custom chair foot to fit existing footprint. d. LED aisle lights. e. Two (2) seats must have ADA transfer arms. f. All seats must integrate a cup holder in the armrest. g. Seating plan must adhere to current ADA guidelines. h. Provide spare parts. i. All seats are floor mounted. 4. De-installation of Existing Seats: a. Remove existing one hundred ninety-three (193) theater seats. Vendor will be responsible for moving the seats out of the theater and their disposal. b. Remove all existing seat lag bolts from concrete. Patch/fill existing lag bolt holes with the appropriate concrete patching material to ensure a smooth surface for the new carpet tile application (by TSHM's flooring contractor), and the fitting of the new seats (by seat contractor). c.
